FALSE. A Facebook video with thousands of views falsely shows that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is inviting Filipinos to try an AI-powered trading platform that guarantees earnings of ₱79,200 in a day.
FACT. Marcos has made no such statement endorsing any trading platform. The video uses an AI-generated deepfake to mimic his voice and likeness, misrepresenting him as promoting a financial scheme.
The video was posted by the page “Joker Slots,” which has no ties to any government or financial institutions. It uses manipulated footage to lure viewers with promises of instant profit and urges them to “test the program” without offering credible proof or regulatory approval.
The clip also misuses the RTVM watermark, a known symbol of official government broadcasts, to create a false sense of legitimacy.
However, RTVM has not released any content showing Marcos supporting AI trading platforms.
Authorities urge the public to remain cautious of online investment scams, especially those using deepfakes and fake endorsements. Always verify financial claims through official government advisories and licensed financial institutions.
