At Assortedge, we are committed to accuracy, fairness, and accountability in all the content we publish. When we make a mistake — no matter how big or small — we correct it transparently and promptly. We believe that admitting and fixing errors is not a weakness, but a necessary part of responsible journalism.

We correct errors — and explain why

If we publish inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information, we correct the content as soon as the mistake is discovered or brought to our attention. Depending on the severity and nature of the error, the correction may include:

  • A correction notice at the bottom or top of the article
  • An editor’s note within the text
  • A complete revision with a timestamp and correction label
  • A standalone update or follow-up story for major factual changes

Minor edits vs. material corrections

  • Minor edits such as grammar fixes, typos, or formatting issues that do not affect the substance of the story may be corrected without a formal notice.
  • Material corrections — those that affect facts, figures, quotes, attributions, or key context — require a correction tag or editor’s note.

If the meaning, framing, or impact of the story is changed due to the edit, we err on the side of disclosure.

How to request a correction

We invite our readers to participate in holding us accountable. If you believe we have made a factual mistake, you may:
📧 Email us at corrections@assortedge.com
📱 Reach out via our official social media channels
📨 Submit a correction request through our Contact page
Please include the article link, the specific error, and supporting information. Our editorial team reviews every correction request seriously and responds as needed.

Updates and evolving stories

In cases where a story develops over time (e.g., ongoing investigations, changing data, live coverage), we will update the piece as new information becomes available. These are marked as “Update” rather than “Correction”, and a note will explain what was added or changed.

Removing or unpublishing content

We do not unpublish or “scrub” content except under exceptional circumstances — such as verified legal risk, demonstrable harm, massive error, or significant ethical concern.

Corrections in multimedia and social platforms

If errors occur in videos, graphics, or social media posts, we issue corrections in those formats as well — either by updating the content or appending correction notes in captions or comments. For platforms where edits are not possible (e.g., X/Twitter), we may issue a follow-up post clarifying the error.

We hold ourselves to our own standards

Corrections apply to all types of content we publish — including news, explainers, columns, videos, podcasts, and branded content. Branded partners are also held to the same factual standards under Assortedge’s editorial oversight.

This policy is part of our broader commitment to transparency and editorial integrity. If you have questions, suggestions, or concerns, contact us at feedback@assortedge.org.
